Overview
About this product line
The open-weave construction is deliberately looser than our potato specification, because alliums need more air movement and are not light-sensitive in the same way. This keeps the crop dry and substantially reduces losses to neck rot in store.
We supply in the standard 25 kg and 50 kg pack weights, plain or printed. Where a very open construction is needed we can also supply a leno-weave mesh sack.
As with all our agricultural sacking, the fibre is biodegradable and compostable with crop waste.

- Can you supply mesh rather than woven?
- Yes. We offer a leno-weave jute mesh where maximum airflow is the priority. It ventilates more than plain weave while keeping the biodegradability advantage over plastic net.
