About this product line
These are built as a cloth pot with a doubled cuff turned down over the rim, which stiffens the mouth and lets the height be adjusted by how far the cuff is rolled. Used bare as a plant pot cover, or specified with a waterproof liner where it holds soil directly.
The format works commercially because it ships flat. A rigid ceramic or metal planter is mostly air in a carton; a jute planter packs at a fraction of the volume, which changes the freight arithmetic on a retail programme considerably.
Print sits on the body below the cuff. Because the surface is cylindrical, artwork wraps rather than sitting on a flat panel — a centred mark reads better here than a wide banner.

- Can a jute planter hold soil directly?
- Only with a waterproof liner, which we fit on request. Without one, water passes through the weave and the fibre degrades. Most buyers use them as covers over a plastic nursery pot, which also makes repotting easier.
- Are they suitable for outdoor use?
- They are intended for indoor and sheltered use. Jute is biodegradable, which is a virtue in a bag and a limitation in a planter left in the rain. For covered patios and event use they hold up well for a season.
- How does printing behave on a round planter?
- The artwork wraps around the body rather than sitting on a flat face, so a compact centred mark reproduces better than a wide banner. We show the wrap on the digital proof before production.
