Overview
About this product line
Our sand bags are woven from natural jute hessian and supplied with an integral tie string. They are biodegradable, which matters where bags may be left in place, and they stack and conform far better than woven polypropylene when building a barrier.
Standard specification is a 66 × 36 cm bag suitable for a 15–20 kg sand fill. We also produce to military and civil-defence specifications on request, and can supply pre-printed with agency marks.
Available untreated for maximum biodegradability, or rot-proofed where longer service life outdoors is required.

- Untreated bags typically hold for 6–12 months of outdoor exposure before the fibre degrades, which is often desirable for temporary defences. Rot-proofed bags extend this considerably; specify this when you order.
