Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Meouf ("the Service"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using Meouf on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you must not use the Service. Your continued use of Meouf following any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Description of Service

Meouf provides an AI-powered pet health monitoring platform that enables pet owners to log daily health observations, track trends over time, receive AI-generated insights, and generate reports suitable for sharing with veterinarians. Features include:

• Daily 30-second health check-in surveys
• Optional voice-driven check-in using audio transcription
• AI analysis of health data using GPT-4o (OpenAI)
• Photo and short-video based body condition, gait and posture analysis
• Health trend visualization and weekly PDF reports
• Emergency symptom triage guidance
• Personalized care recommendations for diet, activity, and grooming
• Web push notifications for check-in reminders (optional)
• Installable Progressive Web App on supported devices

Meouf's emergency triage feature provides general guidance only. It is not a clinical assessment tool and cannot diagnose conditions. Triage outputs should be considered as general orientation, not medical instructions.

User Accounts

To access most features of Meouf, you must create an account. You may currently register using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at hello@meouf.com if you suspect unauthorized access
• Providing accurate, current, and complete information about yourself and your pets

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in harmful conduct on the platform.

Pet Data & Health Information

When you use Meouf, you provide information about your pets including their species, breed, age, weight, health history, daily observations, and photos. You represent that:

• You are the owner of or legally responsible for the pets you register
• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You have the right to submit photos of your pets for AI analysis

AI-Generated Content

Meouf uses OpenAI's models — including GPT-4o for health analysis, GPT-4o Vision for photo and video analysis, and Whisper for voice transcription — to generate insights, recommendations, and triage guidance. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
• AI outputs are probabilistic and not guaranteed to be correct in any specific case
• Photos, video frames, and short voice clips you provide may be processed by OpenAI's systems in accordance with their terms
• Voice clips are transcribed and then discarded; only the transcript and score are retained
• You will exercise independent judgment and consult a licensed veterinarian before making health decisions for your pet

Fair use limits apply to AI features to keep the Service reliable for everyone. If you approach these limits, Meouf will let you know in-app and explain when they reset.

Meouf Pro — Subscription & Billing

Meouf offers a paid subscription tier called Meouf Pro. By subscribing you authorize Meouf to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring basis through Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.

• Price: CA$19.99 per month, listed and billed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated at checkout.
• Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged for the first month.
• Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Fair use: Pro includes AI features subject to fair-use limits. Reaching a limit means certain AI calls may be paused until reset; the Service itself remains available.
• Cancellation: You can cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, your account may be downgraded to the free tier until the issue is resolved.
• Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change takes effect on your renewal.

Stripe receives and stores your full payment details directly. Meouf never sees or stores your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for what we receive.

Notifications & Installed App

Meouf can deliver web push notifications and run as an installed Progressive Web App on supported phones and desktops. You acknowledge that:

• Push notifications are optional and require your explicit permission
• You can disable notifications at any time from the Meouf dashboard or your browser settings
• Notifications are delivered on a best-effort basis through your browser, operating system, and our cron schedule — delivery time and reliability are not guaranteed
• Installing Meouf to your home screen caches certain assets and recent data on your device for offline access
• Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser data will revoke your push subscription and any cached content

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Meouf to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform using automated tools
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates any law
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without prior written consent
• Circumvent any rate limiting, security measures, or access controls

Violations may result in immediate termination of your account and, where applicable, legal action.

Intellectual Property

The Meouf platform, including its name, logo, design, software, algorithms, and all original content created by Meouf, is owned by Meouf and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (pet photos, health notes). By submitting content, you grant Meouf a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Meouf platform without our express written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meouf and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
• Any harm to your pet arising from decisions made based on AI-generated content
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical failures
• Actions of third-party services (OpenAI, Supabase, Google) that we integrate with

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Meouf in the twelve months prior to the claim. If you have not paid anything, our liability is limited to USD $10.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated content.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which will result in deletion of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Meouf at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify registered users via email.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Meouf shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
